Seed to Medicine: A Living Connection

We grow our medicinal plants either from seeds we’ve saved ourselves or from seedlings sourced within Ireland, often from other wonderful horticulturists and herbalists like Ivywood Apothecary. For us, to truly connect with a plant means knowing each stage of its life cycle — its seed, its first leaves, its growth habits and needs. Like a plant child, we nurture it and provide what it needs to thrive.

Afterwards, we spend time with these plants — sitting quietly, observing, and attuning to their vibrational field through heart resonance and nature resonance. When we are in a state of flow, the plants speak to us, offering their medicine and presence in subtle but profound ways. This way of being deepens our relationship with them and allows us to work with them in a respectful and authentic manner.

Only once we know them on this deeper level do we feel comfortable using them in applied ways — crafting salves, oils, tinctures, creams, smudges, incense, powders, culinary blends, and beyond. In this manner, we create medicines that we truly understand – medicines that reflect the wholeness and integrity of the plants themselves. Still, we know that our learning never ends. Plants, like humans, have countless layers to them, and we remain forever students of this vast and beautiful field.

Guided by the Stars: Astroherbalism

We also work in alignment with astroherbalism, harvesting our plants on certain days and times to elevate their potency and weave in the celestial rhythms that influence their being. This extra layer of awareness helps us preserve their most vital and vibrant states — medicine that carries the full spectrum of their gifts.

A Slower Way of Being

Two hands gently hold a jar of Soothing Salve, surrounded by vibrant pink roses and green leaves, set against a plain white background.

In a world driven by fads and quick fixes, our plants invite us to slow down — to embrace a pace of life that is nurturing and healing, just as they are. In this way, they remind us that we are part of something much bigger: a living, breathing dance of nature, where every being has its own message and medicine to share.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
Together, we sow the seeds of a more sustainable, harmonious world.
