Threads of Earth and Spirit — Our Featured Artist: Jerusha Marley
A Collaboration of Earth, Art, and Soul
Our work has always been rooted in connection — to land, to plants, to craft, and to the slow beauty of things made by hand.
It feels only right, then, that our paths should cross with another maker who works from that same deep place of presence and meaning.
We’re honoured to introduce our featured artist, Jerusha Marley — a Fashion Designer and Illustrator based on the wild North West coast of Ireland. Her work, much like our herbal practice, draws on both ancient tradition and living nature. Each of her silk pieces is born from a hand-drawn painting inspired by Celtic mythology, knotwork carving, and the natural world, woven together with deep symbolism and spiritual intent.
“Drawing on life’s journey and symbolism, I weave these elements into mandala-style artworks that carry deep spiritual meaning. Sacred geometry forms the foundation of much of my practice, guiding the structure and flow of my drawings. Each piece is created as a visual meditation — an exploration of balance, harmony, and connection.”
— Jerusha Marley
Every scarf Jerusha creates is a labour of love — an artwork in silk. The process of bringing each piece to life is steeped in inspiration, patience, and careful craftsmanship, resulting in truly unique and luxurious wearable art.
As part of our seasonal offerings, we’re wrapping our apothecary products in Jerusha Marley’s pure silk scarves, using the ancient Japanese art of furoshiki — a gesture that celebrates both sustainability and beauty. Each parcel becomes a gift twice over: the herbal balm within, and the sacred artwork that enfolds it.
Why We Chose Jerusha and Her Artworks
My personal connection with Jerusha’s art runs deep. I’ve been admiring her work for quite some time and at this stage, I own several of her pieces, from beautiful prints and cushion covers to silk scarves.
When the time came to choose a wrap for our products, it felt only natural that something of hers should be part of it. I wanted the wrapping to be sustainable, meaningful, and beautiful, not something wasteful and Jerusha’s silk artworks felt like the perfect expression of that intention.
The two pieces we chose for our furoshiki silk wraps are “Sacred Bees” and “Womb Wisdom.”
Each holds profound personal and symbolic meaning for us, and reflects the essence of what we stand for a connection, reverence, and the cycles of life.
Sacred Bees
“Spiritually, bees symbolise diligence, community, and productivity, embodying the values of hard work, cooperation, and harmony with nature… Across many cultures, bees are viewed as sacred messengers of the divine — symbols of wisdom, love and spiritual connection.”
— Jerusha Marley

For us, the Sacred Bees artwork felt like an obvious choice. We honour and respect bees deeply… they are magical, essential, and endlessly generous beings.
Our own products are made with the gifts of the hive: pure virgin beeswax from the cappings of the comb, raw honey, and propolis.
We once had hives on our land, and though we miss their hum, we trust they’ll return one day. The bees’ presence reminds us of our role in the wider cycle… as caretakers within the natural world.
Bees teach us about devotion, community, fertility, and abundance… about small, purposeful acts that create harmony. This piece, like the bees themselves, hums with quiet feminine power and wisdom.
Womb Wisdom
“The template of this majestic artwork begins with the sacred geometrical code that is the Seed of Life. From within this sacredness the drawing is built upon — the representation of the cycle of life. The wonderment of the Yoni is the centre focus throughout. Delving deep within the female anatomy within physical and spiritual realms the beauty unfolds and so does her power.”
— Jerusha Marley

When I first saw Womb Wisdom in Jerusha’s studio, I was completely blown away by its vibrancy. At first, I saw only colour and mandala… and then, slowly, layers of meaning began to reveal themselves.
This artwork resonated so strongly with me, as I was on a personal journey of rediscovering what it means to honour the womb — the centre of creation, of cycles, and of feminine health, beauty and wisdom.
As I like to say, Womb, Womban — not woman — Womban.
The energy radiating from Womb Wisdom felt both grounding and liberating. It spoke of healing, awareness, and reclaiming what has long been silenced.
In my own family, womb issues have been serious and life-altering, and I know many other women who have faced similar challenges… too often hidden behind taboo and shame.
This piece, bursting with colour and sacred geometry, feels like it breaks through that silence. It’s a celebration of feminine truth, of cyclical nature, of being whole and alive.
We chose it to empower women! To wear this sacred art close to their bodies, to honour and protect their wombs, to remember their power and their right to be seen, to be heard, to be cared for.
A Collaboration of Meaning and Beauty
We’re deeply grateful to bring Jerusha’s vision into our apothecary. Her silks wrap our balms not just in colour, but in meaning… in stories of creation, harmony, and sacred connection.
